Since 2019, Cornell Blockchain has hosted an annual conference, in which it brings together academic, Web3-native, corporate, and institutional leaders to create a constructive dialogue on how to best utilize Blockchain Technology for society's benefit.
2022 NYC
On April 22, 2022 on the Cornell Tech Campus, Cornell Blockchain hosted its second annual conference. The title of this conference was "Web3 Going Mainstream" - aiming to question implications of the rapid adoption and commercialization of Blockchain Technology in 2022. The conference had a start-studded list of speakers including John Wu (President of Ava Labs), Arwin Holmes (Blockchain at EY), Joe Conyears (Head of NFTs at Crypto.com), Paul Erlanger and Corey Miller (Co-Founders at DyDx) and many more. The conference also had a swath of corporate sponsors including Foundry, EY, Crypto.com, FTX, Ava Labs, Algorand, Cointelegraph, and others. You can find out more about the event here.

In 2019, Cornell Blockchain hosted its first ever conference. This conference was held at Cornell Tech and saw an audience of 200+. In attendance was Muneeb Ali (CEO of Blockstack), Kathleen Breitman (Co-Founder of Tezos), Sam Cassatt (CSO of ConsenSys), Emin Gun Sirer (Founder of Ava Labs), Ari Juels (IC3 Co-Director) and many others. This was a huge step for Cornell Blockchain and one of the defining events that made it the Blockchain power house it is today. You can find out more about the event here.
